THE STORY

                       We love a party, always have, always will. Whether it is in a backyard, a hotel lobby, Mom’s kitchen, off the grid, in the city, in the forest or at the beach, a party is simple; the right people, the right place, the right time. Good music, good food, and good vibes; that describes all the best times of our lives.

The Shindy was born out of a deep love of life’s celebrations. Our vision is that this space is the backdrop of the most beautiful, fun, and memorable parties around for years to come!

Zack and Leilah Mundt are Costa Mesa business owners and residents. They married in Palm Springs in 2008 (talk about a party) and have one incredible daughter, Willa, and two rascally cats, Loki and Kiwi.

FAQ

We’re located in Sunny Costa Mesa, California.

Our vendors are tried and true but we love making new friends. You are welcome to bring in your own vendors but they are required to: provide a COI, Sign our Vendor Agreement and Tour the Space prior to the event date.

Capacity in the Salon & Hut is 28, capacity in the full space is 50, and capacity in The Studio is 100.

Parking at The Shindy is limited, so we always recommend Uber or Lyft. Valet parking is available in front of Trenta during their normal hours of operation at $10/car. If valet is needed for daytime events, there is a fee of $440 for 5 hours, 2 drivers, and a private parking lot. This is not required but recommended for parties exceeding 20 guests.

If you need help elevating your dinner, booking entertainment, coordinating invitations or decor, we are here to help. The Shindy is managed by RDEE, a full service events agency.
